This fabulous 8-day retreat offers a special treat alongside a traditional tour of all the beloved and iconic sites you would expect from a journey in kemet “Egypt”.
Not only will you experience the spectacular Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum as well as other famous sites in Cairo, but you will also travel to Siwa Oasis, a spectacular location in Western Egypt that will knock your socks off.
From a traditional Siwan village and the Old City of Siwa, to the Mountain of the Dead and the Temples of Amun Ra and Alexander, you will travel off the beaten path to enjoy unforgettable desert sunrises and sunsets with meditation sessions. Swim in the natural solid lakes, and feast your eyes on a fantastic hidden gem of Egypt.
Day 1
Arrive in Egypt for Cairo and Siwa Oasis Tour
After receiving a warm welcome from your Unknown Egypt Travel tour manager at Cairo International Airport, you will be accompanied in a comfortable vehicle to your 5-star hotel and the tour manager will help you with check-in. Before leaving you to relax for the evening, he will review the itinerary and confirm pick-up times for the following day.

Day 2
Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum
Get your day rolling with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, after which your Unknown Egypt Travel tour manager will meet you to kick off your day of Cairo sightseeing. Your first stop will be the famous and spectacular Great Pyramids of Giza Complex where you will spend the morning discovering the pyramids, The Sphinx and the Valley Temple.
Next you will relax and recharge with lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to the Egyptian Museum, where thousands of artifacts are on display. One of the most notable points of this tour is the room that houses the unforgettable treasure from the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
After discovering the wonders of the Egyptian Museum, you will return to your hotel where you will have the remainder of the day free to enjoy as you wish.

Day 3
Cairo to Alamein and Siwa Oasis
An early start for today means that you will be traveling to the farthest reaches of western Egypt to the beautiful Siwa Oasis. Your tour manager will pick you up to begin the first leg of the trip to Alamein, which is about 3 hours from Cairo on the gorgeous Mediterranean coast.
In Alamein you will visit the World War II Museum and cemetery. After a short break in Alamein, you will continue on to the lovely seaside city of Marsa Matrouh.
Once you arrive at Marsa Matruh, you will check into your comfortable and stunning hotel and dinner will be served shortly after check in.

Day 4
Sightseeing at Siwa Oasis
Prepare yourself for an experience of a lifetime with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, after which your tour manager will meet you to start the day of adventure. You will travel 4 hours to Siwa after checking in at your Eco lodge on the sold lake and taking your lunch.
You will experience the Old City of Siwa, followed by a visit to the Alexander Temple at Aghurmi Village. You will also get to visit the Amun Ra Temple and the Cleopatra Spring.
Lastly, you will take some time to discover the Siwa House Museum, and as the finale, you will witness a glorious sunset at Fitnas Island.
You will return to the hotel for dinner and quiet relaxation for the remainder of the evening.

Day 5
Siwa Desert Tour and Bir Wahid Hot Spring
Enjoy a satisfying breakfast before heading off with your tour manager into the Siwa Desert for the day. You’ll make a short stop at the charming Meraki Village before heading out to the desert sand dunes and into the fossil area where you will be able to see amazing ancient coral reefs from the Cambrian era.
Later in the afternoon you will spend some time at another spectacular hot spring where you can indulge in a soak both in salt and fresh water pools. Lounge by these beautiful natural springs and enjoy the desert sun before heading back to your hotel for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 6
Mountain of the Dead and Siwan Village Experience
After breakfast at the hotel, your tour manager will meet you to start today’s adventures with the first stop and a little known yet amazing necropolis from the 26th Dynasty; the Mountain of the Dead. Untold numbers of ancient tombs are located here including the tomb of Si-Amun which is thought to be the most beautiful of all the tombs in this region.
Next stop will be the Dakrour Mountains, followed by the Siwan village of Abu Sharrouf. You will also have the option of enjoying the Roman Spring for a leisurely end to the tour. After your visit here you will be accompanied back to the hotel for the evening.

Day 7
Return to Cairo and Leisure Time
Today you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out and head back to Cairo. Upon return to Cairo, you will be staying in the same hotel as before, where you will check in and have the remainder of the day to yourself.
Your Travel Advisor tour manager will be available to make any recommendations for activities that you might enjoy on your own for the day, or you are welcome to relax poolside at the hotel for the day.

Day 8
Departure from Cairo
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and meet your tour manager who will escort you to the Cairo International Airport for your departing flight.
